My name is Jo, and Nonya Kitchen was created by my mother, Margaret. She was born and brought up in Penang, Malaysia, and learned to cook at her granny’s elbow: pounding the chillies for the families gulai ikan (fishcurry): she told me that my great-grandmother was very fussy and precise about how things were cut, she never measured but always tasted.

It does not seem that long ago when I was at home helping mum wrap wontons and roll spring rolls at the kitchen table. My perk was to help taste-test the new receipes mum was perfecting for her range of party
food.

We have now been based in our commercial kitchen in Earlsfield for the past 10 years; supplying hand produced food for restaurants, hotels and for corporate and private functions.

We specialise in catering to individual needs and are able to supply hot and cold food (and drink!) to suit all budgets and all tastes.
